Teaching units
Each Teaching Unit consists of a package of materials on a given topic. This includes background social or historical information, discussion points for use in class, transcripts or extracts of real language use, and/or audio recordings. Teaching Units cross-reference links to relevant summaries of research articles in the Linguistics Research Digest.

Language investigations
We provide a number of Language Investigations that fit with major themes of the A-level English Language curriculum, for teachers and students to use as students develop independent projects.
Linguistics Research Digest
The Linguistics Research Digest provides teachers and students with up-to-date reports on the latest research papers on language issues in an engaging, jargon-free way.
Our team do the background work of sifting through scientific journals for articles that are interesting, thought-provoking, topical, or use innovative methods. The Digest is of course for anyone with an interest in language but we are particularly aiming at helping teachers of English Language to keep abreast with cutting edge research. The Teaching Units therefore flag up articles that are specifically relevant to GCSE and A-Level English Language teaching.
